Janine Du Plessis

I have always been drawn to creating — from childhood painting and drawing, to studying at the Institute of Culinary Arts and working in food media, to owning an art gallery for seven years. Over time, I returned fully to making art, working on illustration projects, children’s books, and now focusing on large-scale acrylic and oil paintings. Landscapes and still life are my passion — capturing shifting light, mood, and detail to evoke both intensity and calm.
