Kathryn Sutton

Cape Town born, contemporary artist, Kathryn Sutton left her nursing career in 2010 for a journey into the Unknown. ‘I picked up the artist’s tools and felt the rush of recognition.  It was a feeling of belonging and freedom.  Creating art has become a love affair I devout myself to.’   

Although her training began in oils and romantic realism, she loves using acrylics and inks, resulting in expressive and intuitive art works. 

Inspiration is transmitted from memories, moved by music, ignited by colour and immersed in Nature.  Kathryn’s home- studio is now in Noordhoek where ocean, land and sky meet and are the backdrop to her life and her art.
