Photographed using a vintage film camera and developed over the last several years, when Dave was living and working in the suburb of Salt River in Cape Town.
The artist transforms his images by adding inks and paint to the surface of the photograph, inviting stories to develop which merge realistic narratives with mythical ones, reminiscent of the magical realism mode of writing.
